Dran Buster Overview
Dran Buster is the original one-hit knockout attacker, with almost all of its weight packed behind a single contact point. It still ends battles outright when it connects, though newer attack blades now hit as hard with less risk, and its tournament use has dropped sharply through 2026.
Strengths
- + All the weight sits behind one point, so clean hits end battles
- + Keeps its knockout threat even when running low on spin
- + Rides low enough to snipe ratchets and force bursts
- + Punishes heavy stamina blades that plan to sit and outspin you
Weaknesses
- − Off balance by design, so it burns spin fast and can throw itself out
- − The bundled launcher is not enough, and a weak launch wastes the blade
- − Little to fall back on once the hits stop landing
- − Newer attackers have overtaken it, and its results have slipped in 2026
Build Dran Buster low and fast on the 1-60 ratchet, which lines up with the blade's big contact point and is why nearly every successful build uses it. Dran Buster 1-60LF is the signature version and its most successful, 1-60R trades some speed for more extreme dashes and better stamina, and 1-60LR sits between the two. Launch hard with a string or winder launcher, since this blade lives on spin speed. Its best targets are the heavy stamina blades that expect to outlast an attacker, and it holds up surprisingly well against Cobalt Dragoon, which struggles to spin steal from it. Do not concede a battle you are losing, because it can still land the finishing hit on its last legs. In a 3v3 deck it is your finisher, though newer attackers now do that job with less risk.
