Meteor Dragoon Overview

Meteor Dragoon is a left-spin attacker with a big rubber dragon jaw that grabs an opponent's spin and slams back with one huge hit. Players run it as an opposite-spin threat that hits like a truck out of the box and, once the rubber is broken in, starts genuinely outspinning right-spin stamina blades.

Strengths

  • + Left-spin catches most blades in an opposite-spin matchup
  • + Rubber jaw can deliver one massive KO or burst hit
  • + Spin steal improves as the rubber wears in, with community testing showing far more outspins against Wizard Rod builds on a broken-in copy
  • + Strong tool against a field full of right-spin blades

Weaknesses

  • The stock rubber is very hard, so a fresh copy barely spin steals until it has seen real battles
  • Lopsided shape destabilizes easily and can tilt out at the last second
  • Extreme wear eventually trades away attack power, and judges can rule a badly worn blade a damaged part
  • Fewer left-spin launchers and parts to build around

Meteor Dragoon spins left, so it shines against the mostly right-spin field where the opposite spin lets its rubber jaw grab and slam. Build it on Level, with 7-60L the standard and 7-70L the taller, more controlled variant, or on Elevate as in 9-60E for a fuller spin-steal build. Do not judge it fresh: the hard rubber needs a break-in period, and testers who logged hundreds of battles saw its equalization jump sharply once the jaw wore in, turning near-hopeless Wizard Rod matchups into regular outspins. Put practice battles on your copy before trusting it, but stop short of grinding it bald, since extreme wear costs attack power and can be ruled damaged in official play. In a 3v3 deck it is a specialist that punishes decks full of normal right-spin blades.
