Wizard Rod Overview
Wizard Rod is a wide, very round stamina blade built to spin as long as possible. Players run it because it has the most reliable stamina around and is heavy enough to shrug off weak hits.
Strengths
- + Widest, roundest shape gives top-tier spin time
- + Very heavy, so it resists getting knocked around
- + Smooth circle takes little damage from collisions
- + Surprisingly tough against attackers for a stamina blade
Weaknesses
- − The gaps in its rim can catch a hard hit and cause a burst
- − A real attacker can knock it out before stamina matters
- − It only wins slowly, so it can get rushed down
Pair Wizard Rod with a low ball or needle-style bit for maximum spin, like 9-60B or 3-60B, and give it a smooth, level launch instead of a hard one. Its job is to outlast other stamina and defense blades in the final seconds, so seek out those matchups. Avoid dedicated attackers when you can, since a clean KO still beats it. In a 3v3 deck it is your reliable survive-and-outspin slot.
