Savage Bear Overview
Savage Bear is a round defense blade, sold mainly in Hasbro starters, whose four downward-pointing claws are meant to slow opponents on contact so it can outlast them. At only 29.6 grams it lacks the mass to be a real wall, leaving it as a beginner-friendly but low-tier option.
Strengths
- + Round shape with low recoil is stable and easy to use
- + Downward claws scrub some speed off attackers
- + Solid starter blade for learning defensive play
Weaknesses
- − Far too light to tank hits from serious attackers
- − No win condition beyond slowly outlasting
- − Outclassed by every heavier defense and stamina blade
Keep Savage Bear low and steady on its stock 3-60S or swap to Ball or Needle for a bit more endgame spin, then launch level and hold the center. It does its best work against other light or casual builds where its stability decides the long game. Against meta-weight blades it simply gets pushed around. In a 3v3 deck it has no competitive role; it is a starter defense piece.
