Low Point (LP)
Low Point Overview
Low Point is the lowered version of Point: a flat tip with a small ball in the center, sitting about 1mm below standard height. Like Point, its launch angle picks its personality, either holding the center on the ball or rushing the X-Line on the flat, with the lower height making the whole build harder to burst.
Strengths
- + Launch-angle versatility: stamina flat launch or attack tilt launch
- + Lower height improves burst resistance and helps it slip under opponents
- + The center ball preserves spin when it settles into stationary mode
Weaknesses
- − Little published testing so far, so its competitive value is unproven
- − Sitting lower makes it easier for taller beys to destabilize
- − Launch-dependent behavior takes practice to control
Low Point ships with Hasbro's Suppress Superion 0-70LP and fits balance blades that want Point-style flexibility on a lower, safer frame. Tilt launch against passive opponents to attack, flat launch against attackers to conserve spin. In a 3v3 it is an adaptable middle slot, though thin data means conservative expectations.
