Knight Mail

Knight Mail is a defense blade built around three internal metal balls that shift on impact and pull it back upright after hits that would topple other blades. Most players run it as an anti-attack piece, using its sloped rim to get under attackers and throw them out.

Get Knight Mail off its tall stock 3-85 ratchet and onto something low, like 1-60 or 3-60. Knight Mail 1-60R is far and away its most successful build, with 3-60R and 1-60LR right behind, and all three want the same plan: launch to make contact early, break up the attacker's pattern before it settles, and let their own recoil bounce them around while Knight Mail stays put. Swap to 1-60H if you would rather tank hits and win on spin. Its rough matchups are opponents sitting very low, since Knight Mail cannot get under them to lift, and defensive blades that simply refuse to move. In a 3v3 deck it is the piece you bring to beat other attackers rather than a wall you park against everything.
