Spike Overview

Spike is a defense bit with a rounded point tip, and it is honestly one of the weakest bits in Beyblade X. It sways and drifts instead of holding firm, losing to Needle at defense and to Ball at stamina, with nothing unique to make up for it.

Strengths

  • + Cheap and widely available in dual packs
  • + Passable stationary behavior on a clean flat launch
  • + Works as a placeholder defense tip until you own Needle or Ball

Weaknesses

  • Widely considered the worst defensive bit; community verdict is simply not to use it
  • Unstable, swaying spin that wastes stamina
  • Easily destabilized and knocked out
  • Everything it does, Needle or Ball does better

Spike shipped with beys like RhinoHorn 3-80S, and if you must run it, treat it exactly like a worse Needle: defense blades, stable ratchets, flat launch to the center. There is no combo where it is the right competitive answer, so keep it out of serious 3v3 decks. Upgrade to Needle, High Needle, or Ball the moment you can.
