3-80 is one of the original day-one ratchets, with three wide protrusions at the tall 80 height and a solid 7.1 grams. It raises the blade for upper-attack angles and adds meaningful weight, at the cost of tall-ratchet burst exposure.

3-80 fits tall attack and balance builds that want height plus weight, especially on three-sided blades. It is a fine budget pick for upper-attack combos with flat bits. In a 3v3 use it as an aggressive slot, and swap to 9-80 when you want tall height with actual burst safety.
