Quake Overview
Quake is an attack bit with a flat tip cut on a diagonal, which makes the bey hop and bounce as it moves. The jumps can slam down on opponents for surprise hits, but the gimmick is inconsistent, the stamina is poor, and it can easily bounce itself out of the stadium.
Strengths
- + Jumping smash attacks can land hits no normal tip can
- + Fast, aggressive movement between hops
- + Launch height controls the gimmick: low launches for small hops, high launches for big ones
- + Genuinely fun and surprising in casual play
Weaknesses
- − Very low stamina that drains within the opening seconds
- − The asymmetric tip wobbles badly as spin drops
- − Jumps are unpredictable and frequently cause self-KOs
- − No real competitive niche; Rush and Low Rush do the job safely
Quake came with CrocCrunch 2-60Q and later TyrannoBeat 4-70Q, and it wants heavy attack blades on low ratchets to weaponize its hops. Launch from a low, slightly angled position to tame the bouncing and aim the early smashes. In a 3v3 it is a fun gimmick pick, not a tournament slot.
